Home & Off-Grid Water Supply Solutions
Reliable pressure at every tap — whether the water comes from a town main, a rooftop tank, a cistern or a well. FORWATER booster and self-priming pumps are built for steady whole-house supply, including sites where the grid is weak or absent.
Choosing by Water Source
| Water source | What you need | Recommended FORWATER range |
|---|---|---|
| Mains supply with poor pressure | Pressure boosting, low noise | JPM / SCM booster pumps |
| Rooftop or ground tank | Self-priming lift up to 9 m + house pressure | PM-E / JPM-E series |
| Cistern / rainwater harvesting | Self-priming, dry-run protection advised | JPM-E series |
| Shallow well or borehole | Suction lift and constant pressure | Jet pumps + pressure controller |
| Multi-storey building | High head, stable at multiple outlets | PM80-E (63 m head) |
Whole-House Pressure, Explained
- Head (m) — how high the pump can push water. One storey is roughly 3 m of lift plus pipe losses; a two-bathroom house commonly needs 25–40 m
- Flow (L/min) — how much water at once. A shower is roughly 10–15 L/min; add outlets that may run together
- Control — a pressure switch, pressure tank or automatic controller keeps the pump cycling correctly
Off-Grid & Weak-Grid Sites
- Low starting current matters — permanent magnet pump technology reduces starting load on inverters and small generators
- Voltage flexibility: 110/115/127/220/230/240 V, 50 or 60 Hz
- Cool-running motors for hot climates, with ambient ratings up to 40 °C
- Self-priming from tanks and cisterns without a separate feed pump
Recommended Models
- PM60-E / PM70-E / PM80-E — self-priming booster pumps, 37/50/63 m head, brass impeller
- SCM20-E – SCM200-E — household booster range from 0.37 kW to 1.5 kW, up to 150 L/min
- JPM60-200E / JPM60-300E / JPM60-400E — compact whole-house boosters, 25/30/36 m head
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a pressure tank?
A tank smooths cycling and prevents rapid start/stop. It is strongly recommended on tank-fed systems; your installer can size it to the pump.
The pump runs but pressure is weak upstairs. What now?
Check for air in the suction line and clogged filters, then confirm the pump's duty point. If the building is tall, a higher-head model such as the PM80-E is usually the fix.
Can the pump run on a small generator?
Often yes, but the generator must cover starting current as well as running load. Share the generator rating with us and we will advise.
