FORWATER PYS-550E Permanent Magnet Booster Pump

The PYS-550E is the higher-output duty point of the PYS-450/550E series permanent magnet variable frequency booster pumps. Its 0.55 kW (0.7 HP) permanent magnet motor runs at 4,800 r/min and develops a 50 m maximum head with up to 80 L/min, so several outlets in a large home can be used at once without the pressure collapsing. Motor speed follows the draw-off, so the pressure you set is held and the pump stays quiet.

Can it draw water from a well?

With an 8 m suction head it handles shallow wells, tanks and cisterns. For deeper water levels a submersible pump is the correct choice.

Does it need a pressure tank?

The controller regulates pressure electronically, so a large pressure vessel is not required. A small expansion vessel still helps where micro-draw is frequent.
